Silk-screening is a method of printing on textiles using special inks and screens or other fine mesh. Within the uniform and branding market, it is perceived as a more casual and economical way to decorate textiles.
To ensure durability and high quality, Peacock utilizes the best inks in the market to obtain better quality and resistance. Silk screening is mostly used for uniforms and personalized t-shirts within the industries of construction, transportation, cleaning services, and promotional apparel.

How much does it cost a printed t-shirt?
Prices vary considerably depending on the t-shirt style, the number of colors of the artwork, and imprint locations. Our recommendation is to send us a detailed email, preferably with the artwork attached if possible, and we will work on an accurate quotation for you.
What does the setup fee means?
To apply silk screening printing on your shirts we need to save the artwork of your logo in a vector format (either EPS or AI formats). Vectorizing your logo costs $25, and it’s a one-time set up-fee. Most of the time your designer can provide you with the vector file of your logo and you can avoid this fee.
Another necessary step to print your shirts is to create the screens that printers use to apply the colors on the shirts. Each color needs a different screen, and each screen costs $25. Once we create the screen we keep them for future orders; re-using the screens cost $5.
How many colors can you print on my shirts?
We can print up to 6 colors. If you want a more elaborate and colorful design we recommend you to look at our digital printing.
How long does it take to have my order ready?
Normally, our turnaround time is 10 business days.
What would it be the largest size for imprint?
The largest size for imprint is 10”x14” (full front or full back).
We do provide t-shirt samples for the customer to try on. Samples are available for two weeks after the customer requests them.
We also provide mock-ups of the artwork for the client to approve before proceeding with the order. To receive a sample of the t-shirt already printed, the client will be asked to pay the setup fees in advance.
Can you print on items sent to you?
We normally do not allow our clients to bring their items when we have to apply silk-screening because there is a high risk of damaging the customer’s items during the process.
Silk screening costs increase when you apply more colors. Our recommendation is to keep the artwork simple (one or two colors design). Also, printing on lighter t-shirts is more economic than printing on darker t-shirts. Finally, costs decrease as the quantity ordered increases.
Why is it more expensive to print on darker garments than printing on lighter ones?
When printing on dark items the color of the t-shirt will show through slightly, and the imprint quality decreases considerably. To maintain the true look of your design we need to apply an under-base to the garment. This under-base is a layer of white ink that eliminates the shirt’s color from showing through.
